Ichabod Crane’s Halloween Morning Links

Spoiler alert- this story doesn't end well

Morning everyone.  To get you ready for a day full of teeth rotting sugar or mind numbing drinking (depending on your age), here is what’s making news today-

1) New Cubs owner Tom Ricketts and I have something in common- we only care about winning.

2) The first place Hawks returned home last night and beat the only French speaking NHL franchise- victoire!

3) No sweep for Chicago sports- the Celtics are good and the Bulls are still young.

4) Kentucky super-freshman John Wall was cleared to play college basketball- somewhere Pat Forde is crying.

5) Formula One is in Abu Dhabi for the first time this weekend- the track is one of the most visually impressive things I have ever seen.

6) Five career steps of a Duke basketball player: (1) learn to flop like a European soccer player (2) be loved by ESPN, hated by all others (3) cry in the NCAA tournament (4) NBA draft bust (5) release a rap album.  Excuse me, J.J. Reddick?

If you are not partaking in the Halloween festivities, here are some great college football games to watch (based on Central time)

11:00- (8) Cincinnati at Syracuse- Hopefully former Duke basketball dud Greg Paulus will cry

2:30- (1) Florida v. Georgia- Annual Cocktail Party in Jacksonville is always fun

7:00- (5) USC at (10) Oregon- Winner goes to the Rose Bowl (unless Texas loses, etc…)

Happy Halloween readers!
